Nichole Brackett
Nichole joined Sense Engineering in 2014, after having previously worked with both Brennan and Ted. Nichole is a building envelope (building enclosure) engineer with more than 10 years of experience in both new construction and restoration consulting. Nichole is a key member of the restoration and building enclosure teams in the Vancouver office and plays a supportive technical role to the other offices across the country.

Kwang O’Donnell, B.Sc., M.Sc.
Kwang O’Donnell has been working as a corrosion scientist at LEaC Shield for nearly 3 years. His technical background allows him to perform failure analysis, write technical documents and articles, as well as aide in sales and outreach. Previously, he performed research for nuclear waste management Canada, for 7 years. He specializes in materials chemistry, metallurgy, corrosion sciences and water chemistry. Kwang has a B.Sc. in analytical chemistry and an M.Sc. in materials/physical chemistry from UWO. His passion for eliminating corrosion extends from domestic piping to automotive applications. He strongly believes education about corrosion is the key for elimination.
Duane Pearce
Duane Pearce has extensive experience in water leak detection systems for condo and multi-unit buildings, with a focus on system integration, product evaluation, and real-world performance.
He works closely with manufacturers, insurers, and contractors to test systems, identify limitations, and improve how these technologies are applied in buildings. His role spans product development, field deployment, and contributing to more consistent industry practices.
Duane’s experience comes from hands-on work across large-scale projects, giving him a practical understanding of how systems perform beyond specification sheets. He focuses on ensuring solutions are reliable, compliant, and suitable for long-term use in the built environment.
