DESCRIPTION:  \nRegistration is OPEN!!  \n“Condo 101” is an educational course CCI BC has designed to help Strata Council members in BC learn how to be better equipped to perform their duties. \nTaught by Strata Lawyers\, this course provides information on the duties\, obligations\, and procedures that all strata council members or those who would like to join the council should know. Topics include legal elements of Stratas\, discerning various responsibilities of Stratas\, administration\, finance\, insurance\, and procedures of Strata Corporation meetings. \n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND?\n\n\nCondo 101 is intended for current Strata Council Members\, Strata owners who would like to join their council in the future\, and Property Managers looking for a review of current best practices and information on current legislation. \n\n\n  \nAre you serving on a strata council and feeling under water? Understanding the legal requirements for Strata governance is important in order to run your corporation smoothly. This course will introduce you to everything you need to know about governance fundamentals and how they impact your strata. \n  \n \n  \nPhil Dougan\, Partner at Citadel Law Corporation \nPhil is a partner at Citadel Law Corporation and works almost exclusively in Strata Corporation and Landlord/Tenant matters. He is a litigator who finds himself in every level of Court and many different Tribunals. From the CRT and the RTB to the BC Court of Appeal\, Phil will be there for his clients. Some say that is so he does not have to go home to his eight children and two grandchildren; but that is just a rumour. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nLisa Frey\, Associate at Lawson Lundell LLP \nLisa is a real estate lawyer with Lawson Lundell LLP.  Her practice focuses on condominium development\, strata governance matters\, such as drafting bylaws and resolutions\, and a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions.  She has been a CCI Vancouver Chapter member since 2014 and is passionate about strata education. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
