Jamie Bleay
Jamie is a founding member of Bleay Both Uppal LLP and the head of the strata property law group.
Jamie practices extensively in the area of strata law and strata governance and regularly advises strata corporations and their strata councils, strata owners and strata managers in dealing with a wide range of strata-related services including: warranty claims, strata governance, collection of strata fees, special levies, chargebacks and insurance deductibles, strata loans, bylaw drafting and bylaw enforcement.
Jamie’s focus is on providing prompt, efficient and effective service to his clients and being able to provide reliable and sound legal advice. He has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as at the Human Rights Tribunal, the Civil Resolution Tribunal and disputes involving the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia
Veronica Franco
Veronica Franco is a senior partner at one of Western Canada’s largest law firms, Clark Wilson. Working closely with strata corporations and strata managers, Veronica’s legal services include reviewing and drafting bylaws and resolutions, reviewing and drafting contracts, assisting in collections, initiating forced sales of strata lots, defending Human Rights Code complaints, dealing with Civil Resolution Tribunal Disputes, finding solutions to meet a strata corporation’s duty to repair, amalgamations and winding up of strata corporations.. With over 25 years of experience, Veronica is a leader in British Columbia’s strata law community and is routinely invited to speak to industry and public audiences alike for the Canadian Condominium Institute – BC Chapter, the Condominium Home Owners Association, the Professional Association of Managing Agents, and the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. Veronica volunteers her time and expertise as a member of the editorial board of the Strata Property Practice Manual for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
Paul Mendes
Paul is an experienced lawyer with 20 + years of expertise in strata and condominium law, construction defect litigation, and commercial dispute resolution. He is a recognized speaker and educator on strata governance, bylaw enforcement, and contract law.
